You’re welcome to book a walk with our alpaca’s Fritz, Filur and Franz Ferdinand. The tour can be combined with a workshop felting.
The pilgrim’s route St.Olavsleden is on the doorstep. Take a day trip to Pilgrimsstad (about 15 kilometers), where a pilgrims source and a brewery are to be found. There we can pick you up by car. You can also hire a guide who will show you around in the church of Revsund and who will tell you the story of St. Olav during the walk.
HIKING THE FORSA TRAIL
Here you’ll find astonishing nature and historical sights, like rock paintings dating back to the Stone Age. We’re happy to drive you there and pick you up again at the end of the trail.
A search for wild raspberries, blueberries, lingonberries and the rare cloudberry. A guide will tell you all about the plants, the trees and the animals around you.
In the evening, when the sun is getting less strong, a guide will take you on search for the impressive king of the forest: the moose. And if you’re lucky you get to see beavers and other wild animals.
TOUR ON ICELANDIC HORSES
Take a trip through the countryside on the back of an Icelandic horse. The tours can be tailored to inexperienced riders.
A guide will take you on the lake with a small fishing boat and he’ll show you the best spots and methods to catch a perch, pike or trout. Afterwards he’ll teach you how to skin the fish.
Have you tried cross country skiing and then scoring a bull’s eye? This workshop is about endurance and precision. And fun in the snow, of course.
SNOW SHOE WALK
Follow the tracks of wild animals on a snow shoe walk in the peaceful forest. A guide will lead you through winterwonderland in a search of fox and moose.
Our Dutch fellow villager Marcel prepares an ice rink of approximately 2.5 kilometers every winter. That means snowplowing and ice scraping after each snowfall. Watch a video about Marcel’s work.
Our fellow villager Gustav at Bakgården in Revsund brews great beer with local ingredients such as honey and shoots of pine. You can taste beers and learn all about the process of brewing beer. Only pre-booking and a minimum of 8 persons.
Which mushroom is eatable and which absolutely isn’t? A guide will help you to find your own secret mushroom spot in the forest. If you have a talent for it, you’ll come home to the vicarage with a full basket to make a lovely mushroom soup.
SNOW SCOOTER TOUR
This guided snow scooter safari brings you to places you could never go by foot or car. There, in the middle of nowhere, you’ll prepare your own lunch on a open fire in the snow.

It’s not as easy as it seems. A guide will show you how to catch fish from under the thick ice. Afterwards he’ll teach you how to skin the fish and grill it.
Learn how to cook a traditional Swedish meal or treat yourself on a three course meal with lots of local delicacies. Bakgården in Revsund is the perfect place for a culinary evening. Only pre-booking and a minimum of 8 persons.

If you like hunting for antiques and knick-knacks, Jämtland is your paradise, especially in summertime. We are happy to refer you to the best loppis (flea market) and auctions.
SHOPPING, MUSEUMS, FOOD
In Östersund (45 minutes from Revsund) you’ll find Jamtli, a great museum about Jämtland’s culture and history and for kids there’s children Teknikland. We are happy to give you tips on specialty shops and restaurants that are a bit hidden in the city.
